the scene: TORONTO.

In  THE DIVE, George Wentworth heads to the heart of Toronto looking for a bit of fun, some money and maybe an opportunity, but  finds himself in a world he'd never expected  - one of alcohol, drugs and deception - where mistakes sometimes become costly and occasionally fatal too.

The most populous city in Canada, it's easy to get lost among the 2.2 million people sharing the same territory in the late 1980's. THE DIVE takes place when drugs, violence and crime in general thrived unnoticed just below the surface in the metropolis.

The following images reflect the times, including some of the many actual locations that I used in the city to set   - THE DIVE  - and how  they  appear today.
